As young families move in by the dozens, the need for a community shul has become ever pressing. To this extent, Ohr Yisrael has stepped up to the plate, led by the dynamic rav, Rabbi Duvi Rubin.
Ohr Yisrael has been developing its infrastructure over the past few years to provide the neighborhood with a strong presence of Torah and Yiddishkeit and a sense of community for men, women, and children. It is our dream to see the shul grow into a spiritual hub where all members of the community will feel connected to each other, the Rav, and especially Hakadosh Baruch Hu.
What we do: Weekday as well as Shabbos minyanim with a hot kiddush with singing and stories for children led by the Rav. Friday-night & Shabbos afternoon Avos U’banim, Weekly shiurim, Chumash B’iyun shiur, daily Daf Yomi shiur, Night Seder with a Luech Libecha Chabura, Thursday night Mussar & Mishmar with Chulent, etc. Seasonal events, such as women’s shiurim, Shabbos Onegs, and Sukkos, Chanukah, Purim, & Lag BaOmer parties & a Summer BBQ.
